Visuals are integral to popular music and a critical engagement with popular music visuals is crucial for musicians. By equipping students with a ‘toolkit’ for critical analysis of their own visuals, HPME can foster greater diversity, equity and inclusion by challenging and potentially changing dominant popular music visual discourses.
