Creative Play: An Improv-Based Songwriting Collaboration Workshop

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This workshop introduces improvisation tools and techniques to explore effective processes of creating music and lyrics. The perfect antidote to writer’s block, musicians, songwriters and composers will find total engagement in creative, active collaboration. Participants develop impromptu words into song titles, lyric rhythms into melodic motives, and harmonic/rhythmic ideas into song sections. Improvisation is successfully applied to students’ songwriting practice in order to become more prolific, and have an intrinsically rewarding experience.
