Teaching with Authenticity: Examining Music's Historic and Contemporary Cultural Traditions

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This workshop will focus on culturally responsiveness, honoring traditions and legacy by highlighting how to approach different cultures using music from the film Take Me To The River New Orleans. By examining cultural context our desire is to give tools and reframe skills to reach your students through representation so you can address inequities while having competency in content with a multicultural awareness lens.
